Work and Burdens.......

Today, I thought about this tree and how small the trunk is compared to the rest of the tree.  I thought about how strong the trunk is, how it's able to hold all the weight of the whole tree, and how it relates to the strength of God.  Both the strength of this tree trunk and the strength of God is tremendous.  I know that the tree trunk is NOWHERE CLOSE to God's power but I thought it to be a good example.  We cast our burdens on him, yet he still stands strong(for example, if we were to build a tree house in that tree there's not much of a chance of it being to much weight and falling down!  We ask him to answer prayers, and he will if he sees fit.

Then there's trees like the one below that don't have very much weight to hold.  They're kind of like us.  It might seem like there is SO much to do in our day to day lives. It might seem like we can't take it very much longer.  But think about how much God has to do every day!  Of course, it's just a snap of the finger for Him, but it's a good thing to think about.  It seems to me that we should be thankful for the work and burdens that we do have, and find ways to enjoy the work and endure the burdens.  Because really all they do is strengthen us!  And after all it's probably not very much.  I know that I complain sometimes about the work or problems that I have.  And it's not very much.  This tree looks like it would be hard for the trunk to hold up, but if you get up closer to it, all it is, is just small limbs.

As you can see, this bush wasn't very strong.  Everything around it is green and healthy.  But it wasn't even able to survive a goat escape!  Or maybe it was the dog that dug the holes around it that killed it.  But just think, if it would've been flowering in the first place, it would've attracted the bees, and the goats and dogs would've stayed away anyways.  There are some people, believe it or not that are like that!  They will say "oh, I'll cheer up tomorrow".  But tomorrow never came.  So I think that we should happy.....no matter what the circumstances!  1 Thessalonians 5:16 and 1 Thessalonians 5:18 explains this in fewer words.
Stay as far away from this as you can by being happy!
