The hunting trip

When we got the call that uncle Dennis wanted someone to go with him on a hunting trip this last November, my younger brother Isaac was the first to volunteer. But a few days later, as the trip was nearing, Isaac started to feel homesick before the trip even started! Then I was the one to volunteer. Deer hunting in Texas was too good a chance to pass up. So I started packing for the 5 day trip. First, my uncle and I went to New Mexico to spend Thanksgiving with my Grandpa and Grandma. While we were there, my grandpa shot a huge-bodied buck. He took up the whole truck bed (see pic below)! Then, the next day, my uncle and I set off for Texas. It was an exhausting 6 hour trip. So when we got to our destination, we ate and went to bed.
The next morning I woke up to a 5:15 am start and after I got done with my nasty Bisquick biscuits and gravy, we grabbed our guns and headed out into the weather.
After trying to sit in a tree stand full of owl poo, we decided we'd best try the ground. No more than 10 minutes later, we saw a doe standing about shooting distance--but soon we learned, not shooting distance for open sights. I pulled up my gun and pretty soon, BOOM! Totally missed. The doe sort of ran off and gave my uncle a slow running shot. Pretty soon the doe was on the ground. We walked up to the deer which was still alive. Uncle Dennis told me to crack(shoot) it in the head. BOOM! Dead deer. I ended up killing 3 more deer on that trip. I had a great time hunting!
If this story offended anybody-Sorry!
